ISL 2015 Match Report Day 1 and Day 2

Day 1: Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) 3 - 2  Chennaiyin FC

Portuguese striker Helder Postiga scored twice as defending champions Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) started their campaign on a winning note beating Chennaiyin FC 3-2 in an exciting lung opener of the cash-rich Hero Indian Super League (ISL) in Chennai on Saturday.

The former Portugal frontman and Cristiano Ronaldo's one-time teammate Postiga showed his predatory skills with two opportunistic strikes in the 13th and 70th minute while substitute Spanish striker Valdo also found his name on the scoresheet. For Chennaiyin FC, Jeje Lalpeklhua hit one in the 31st minute while their main player and skipper Elano Blumer got one back converting a controversial penalty in the 89th minute when the referee awarded penalty with the ball rebounding off ATK stopper Arnab Mondal's stomach.

Day 2: FC Goa 2 - 0 Delhi Dynamos

Zico's side began their campaign on a winning note as they dispatched the Delhi franchise 2-0. FC Goa began their Indian Super League (ISL) campaign in convincing fashion with a 2-0 win over Delhi Dynamos at the Fatorda Stadium on Sunday evening. An own goal from Souvik Chakraborty (3') opened the scoring before Reinaldo (45'+2') added a second on the stroke of half-time.

Zico’s side deservedly won the game while Carlos will have to find a solution to his team’s defensive vulnerability as they had Sanjiban Ghosh to thank for. Goa next face Atletico de Kolkata in another home match on October 7 while Dynamos play against Chennaiyin FC in their home match a day later.
